Purusa

Saturday June 17th AT 5:00PM

The band was very popular in the Pacific Northwest between 2000-2004, selling thousands of CD’s, touring throughout the West Coast and playing with national acts such as Joe Bonamassa, Dada, Chris Whitley and Glen Phillips.  They reunited in 2014 after a 10 year breakup, scored a minor FMQB chart hit in early 2016 with ‘Breaking Down, and released a new EP ‘Soundtrack’ later that year that has found some traction on college radio this spring.  The band’s sound is rock at its core with a blues influence in the guitar, soul influence in the vocals, with a songwriting style of pop/rock.  Kings of Leon, The Counting Crows, and Toad the Wet Sprocket are all apt comparisons.
