Here is additional election programming:

You will find candidates on your ballot who are running in special districts: soil, water, fire, cemetery, etc. What exactly are these and why are they important? League of Women Voters of Marion and Polk Counties hosts this program.

(2023) Have you ever wondered what happens after you put your ballot in the mail or place it in a drop box? Join us for Your Election--a special CC:Media community news report that details the system of ensuring your vote is counted at the Marion County Elections Office. Marion County Clerk Bill Burgess takes us behind the scenes once your ballot reaches his office.

(2024-EP8) Oregon wants to equip its voters with accurate, reliable information about Oregon voting and elections and offer a variety of toolkits empowering them to fact-check information from any source for themselves. It’s all available on the state’s new elections website OregonVotes.gov. Oregon Secretary of State spokeswoman Laura Kerns explains the importance of voters thinking critically about the information they receive and share about voting and elections and seek accurate information from the state’s election website. The state launched a new information campaign with public service messages like “Voting in Oregon Feels Good.” These breezy, humorous cartoons produced in five languages once-again featuring Blobby and Friends drives home the message that voting in Oregon is “easy, safe and secure.”

(2024-EP4) Why are so many elections workers quitting? In Oregon, 34%, one in three county clerks, has either retired or resigned amid what it calls a toxic political environment. The problem is nationwide according to a Reed College study the state commissioned to help understand why. Brian van Bergen, Marion County Elections and Records Manager explain how Marion County is handling worker safety issues and helping voters understand how and why Oregon elections are secure, fair and extremely accurate.
