Beginning at 9:05 a.m. on August 21 in Salem, Oregon, the Moon will slowly begin to move in front of the Sun, eventually covering it completely at 10:18. Totality — the time where the Moon fully eclipses the Sun — will last for approximately 1 minute, 54 seconds. For many, this will be a once in a lifetime event.
